Stuart Pearce
Listened to Pearce this morning on talkshite. He went to the training ground last Thursday and his conclusions are as follows -

1. There's great unity between the players and the manager
2. 'Dave' has the credit in the bank to continue moving the club forward (continue?)
3. The fans are behind the team and manager but he understands they are a little frustrated
4. The new players from the summer have struggled to integrate into the structure & still are
5. Europe has been the main cause for our struggling form

He's gone way downhill in my opinion. Maybe, politically, he's saying the right thing because he fancies a job there soon, or more likely, he's completely bottled it and can't see anything wrong with 'Dave' and his managership.

How does an ex player of that courage on the pitch not see or hear what we as fans are seeing?

What fucking spell does Moyes have on the media?

yes, it's disappointing but the last time he told the truth about the club he wasn't allowed back as punishment

Re: Stuart Pearce
Of course we have been moving forward!

When was the last time we finished 6/7th? When were we last having runs in Europe?

I swear most fans on here think football started with the Premier League and West Ham should be challenging for the title. Pathetic.

To be fair, we ain't been to the training ground have we.
Says the news ones are still struggling. Not sure what mistruths he has spoken. The bit about fans still being behind him is weird but the rest is fair enough I guess.

I wonder what integration entails?

Re: Stuart Pearce
getting on with teammates
following club rules
buying homes rather than living in temproary rented properties
keeping to weight limits set by club
following team instructions on pitch
talking to club staff respectfully or at all.

INTERGRATION ;-)

Lie. There isn't

2. 'Dave' has the credit in the bank to continue moving the club forward (continue?)

Also lie. If they'd made any plans, he'd be gone already

3. The fans are behind the team and manager but he understands they are a little frustrated

*shrugs*

4. The new players from the summer have struggled to integrate into the structure & still are

True. We miss Noble massively. A number of them are also struggling to understand why they were signed, and being asked to play in a way that doesn't suit them (Paqueta) or they're not capable of doing (Scamacca)

5. Europe has been the main cause for our struggling form

We've been shit for a year.

I wish people would tell that to those who think Moyes still has credit in the bank.

I swear you haven't got a fucking clue what you're talking about. Most just want a manager that tries to win games and let's the players play football, rather than what we've watched for twelve months where the main priority has been not to lose. No one thinks we should be challenging for titles, so fuck off with that horse shit

Pearcey has been on TS this AM... they had a West Ham section allowing the floodgates to West Ham fans to have their say.... I think they had 3 fans on...ALL 3 backed Moyes... yup...

Re: Stuart Pearce
If I hear 'credit in the bank' one more fucking time. What does it mean exactly. That the Jock twat lucked out on a formation with Lingard that works and the grounds being shut during Covid or he did his job. Since January 2022 we have seen hsi true colours. There is no doubt in my mind he is trying to get the sack now. Look at Saturday's lamentable line up. The two goalscorers from the lats two games, Scamacca and Benrahma on the bench in a game that he had to win. Cresswell and Soucek both playing of course. Try not to lose, as Sir Alf said Wolves dont score many but he feared that one would be enough to beat us. Hope he did his lottery tickets on saturday as well.

He will probably go with the same line up against Everton, or if he can send out a weaker line up he will. Grant him his wish and sack him now and let a new manager (NOT fucking Mark Noble either) have a few quid in the last two weeks of the window. Who knows we may even win a game or two.

I think Danny Murphy made the same point about Europe load of cobblers we have a much larger squad and we have been playing second rate teams

Re: Stuart Pearce
Stuart Pearce isn't going to shit on his own doorstep. He must feel loyalty to Moyes and the players he coached very well for ages. He has to be supportive or be seen as a rat.

As it happens, I don't see signs of players openly appearing to disrespect the manager. Clearly though, the players are lacking tactical direction.

Things like a line of 6 or 7 in the box for a corner and no or only 1 player outside the box to keep the ball when a defender clears. Bowen that spends more time going backwards or sideways as defenders know how to mark him. Aimless crosses and set pieces that keep finding defenders. A single pattern of play and so on...

I'll bet that Stuart Pearce still sees himself as a potential manager...

Re: Stuart Pearce
The problem is that nobody in the media actually gives a fuck about West Ham. Very much like any club outside the big four.

Liverpool are in crisis and you actually get proper football people having proper and honest discussions.

But, a club like West Ham, when in crisis, the media go "Oh, I suppose we have to mention West Ham" and so Laura Woods on TS goes "So, Stuart, what's gone wrong at West Ham?" and then he bleats on following the party line and doesn't actually get to the crux of the matter as he doesn't want to shit on his won doorstep.

All the while Laura Woods is talking to her producer about the next segment, all other listeners who support other clubs zone out and the only people listening are West Ham fans who just get angry at the bollocks being spouted.

Then when Pearce finishes Woods then goes "Thanks Stuart, and next we have Graeme Souness with a cucumber being squeezed up his tight Scottish anus...."

Nobody gives a flying fuck about West Ham in the media.

I wish people would tell that to those who think Moyes still has credit in the bank.

that's it in a nutshell in the prem, the europa distraction with some success, has been a smokescreen for the fucking prem dogshit for a year. add a dinosaur manager that leaves the best players on the bench and it's all so fucking pointless prolonging it. this shit happens. to most managers. he is tired, stale, devoid of ideas and has a squad better than he is capable of managing. act now or do what roeder did. send a very good squad of players down.

Pearce is a fucking idiot when it comes to football why listen to him. Hate this credit in the bank bollocks.

Re: Stuart Pearce
if you want genuine opinions, you cannot quote people that have to keep the clubs board sweet due to potential money from the club. so current players and any ex-player potentially having a bit of a corporate gig or suchlike, forget it. pointless 'no real problem/keep manager' type quotes. ask the hornchurch coach lot or regular away supporters for a proper analysis and literally nobody backs moyes or has done so for a month and upwards.
